This is a quick rock jam me and my music teacher made. We did not practice before we played it. I am learning how to play the drums. In this jam i use the drums for Guitar Hero, since there is not a real drum set at the school. The sound of the drums are not great, but that is not the point in this song. My music teacher is playing Electric Guitar and Electric bass. It was recorded in Garageband. I am a beginner drummer, so please post nice comments and subscribe to my channel if you would like. Thanks for listening.

Hey guys. This lesson looks at moving the basic beats that we learned from the earlier videos around the kit to give them completely different vibes. By using the floor tom or the ride cymbal instead of the hi hat, you kind of open yourself out the whole kit making it easier to move you left hand around the rest of the kit. Here is just a few examples of what you can do. Just experiment, have a laugh and see what you come up with. Feel free to ask any questions, ‘like’, subscribe or leave a comment. Cheers. Alex

In this vid we are looking at playing quater notes on the hi hats instead of eighth notes while playing some basic patterns with the kick and snare drum. This is a good one to learn if you like your fast punk, rock, indie, and metal styles of playing. Because you are playing fewer notes on the hi hat you are less restricted (tempo wise) by how fast your right hand can play, you can increase the speed of your kick and snare patterns. It also introduces you to the next level of independence as you start separating your hands and feet during patterns. Have fun with it and I will have a follow up vid looking at some more beats and orchestrations. Feel free to ask any questions, ‘like’, subscribe or leave a comment. Cheers. Alex
